This project was heavily inspired by Pablo ⚡️ Espinosa trippy visual style. He created an illustrative package for a craft beer company in New Zealand called Garage Project. I found it mesmerizing how he could illustrate planets and circles as if they were melting and morphing. I wanted to re-create his visual style to emphasize and help melt together the theme of space with the center piece of the project, The octopus. 

The idea of octopods swimming through space sounds so cool and kind of fitting because octopods have an other-worldly-ness about them, from their tentacles to the fact that they have 8 brains! They just seem so Alien that a visual of one swimming through space seems more run-of-mill.

This project was a lot of fun! I loved playing with different colours and creating wild colour combos. I definitely want try this visual style again because it allows the creator the range to experiment.
